West Quay Shopping Centre, Southampton

Type of works: installation of Optima^® cassette rainscreen cladding.

The West Quay shopping complex in Southampton dominates the regenerated harbour side. 1,500m² of Optima^® cassette rainscreen, with Syntha Pulvin PPC RAL 9006 Silver Metallic finish, has been installed for the high level, sloping and overhanging feature canopy. The roof perimeter is a series of factory formed bullnose flashings, curved in section and facetted in plan, creating the impression of a true curve over the 147m radius of the roof.
