Wickes

Client: Wickes
Type of works: supply and installation of access control and traffic management.

The criteria for this project was to create a number of pedestrian friendly, secure walkways throughout the car park and the surrounding areas on the site of a new large retail outlet. Bailey Streetscene was also asked to create an access control system to the rear of the building to increase security.

The Trojan bollard was selected for use on the customer car park. In the event of vehical damge, the Trojan's outer sleeve can be easily replaced without the expense and inconvenience of ground works.

The Trojan bollard requires virtually no maintenance and the outer sleeve is fully recyclable. The Trojan bollard was used along the front of the building as a deterrant to ram raids. The Trojan can be converted into full anti-ram specification by filling the 114 Dia steel core with concrete.

At the rear of the building, 139 Dia mild-steel removable bollards were used to create a secure yet accessable parking area for staff. The perimeter of the building was secured with a bespoke low-level steel barrier system.

Bailey Streetscene supplied a total of over 500 bollards for this project.
