More grey than you'd expect
Grey is rarely just one grey. Across the Vandersanden range it runs from clean, single-colour tones, where the appeal is evenness and calm across a whole elevation, to richly blended multis that bring depth, movement and warmth to a facade. The range has one of the largest grey selections available, made possible by a natural white baking clay, worked with different firing techniques, natural pigments and specific surface sands to draw out each colour. Whether a design calls for uniform or multi, classic or contemporary, there is a grey to express it.
Design tip: pair a paler grey like Bivio with darker joinery or window frames to let those details stand apart.
White, and all the light it holds
A blank canvas for a facade, white is the cleanest, freshest way to finish a building, and the way it works with light is what sets it apart. Some Vandersanden whites are pure, single-colour tones for a bright, striking effect; others fold in natural greys and warmer tones for a softer, more subtle finish. White can turn a building monumental or quietly rural, capturing and holding the light as it shifts across an elevation through the day. Some of the purest, whitest bricks available, ready to set off a design exactly as it was drawn.
Design tip: white shows every shadow, so the mortar joint does more work than usual, a recessed joint sharpens the texture and depth, a flush one keeps it clean and minimal. See how different joints and colours work together with the Texture Generator.
Black, bold and refined
Few choices make a statement like black. Dramatic and contemporary, it gives a facade presence, whether carrying a whole elevation or picking out a single feature. Vandersanden offer some of the blackest blacks available, a range spanning single, uniform tones for a clean, striking effect and richer multi-blacks that layer in cooler and warmer hues for depth and contrast. Increasingly, it is chosen for facades meant to stand out, and it rewards a considered hand: used with control, black brings a building confidence and authority.
Design tip: pair a black facade with natural timber to soften the drama and bring a sense of calm, the warmth of the wood against the depth of the brick makes for a considered, easy match.
