ACO launches contemporary designs for installation friendly drainage for luxury wetrooms

ACO Building Drainage, the UK’s leading specialist in drainage systems and corrosion resistant building products, has launched its latest range of wetroom drainage solutions, designed to eliminate design risk, reduce costs, and provide exceptional finish and performance. The new range includes shower drain channel and gully systems that make designing and installing a luxury wetroom simple and affordable.

Wetrooms are an increasingly popular alternative to conventional bathrooms, due to their attractive appearance, space efficiency and cleanliness. Essential to the successful design of a luxury wetroom is an effective drainage system that is simple to install, discreet and safe. ACO’s latest solutions meet all of these criteria and provide reliable performance over a long service life.

The latest ACO shower drain systems comprise a channel or gully design, which offers an attractive barrier-free drainage solution that is easy to both integrate into a wetroom design and install. The compact gullies are ideal where capacity is a key factor, while the linear drainage channels feature clean lines and a finish that meets the requirements of modern bathroom designs perfectly.

The gully systems are available in nine different styles measuring 150 mm on each side. All offer a high flow rate of 1.2 l/s meeting the needs of most modern showers. Likewise the channel design offers a flow rate of 0.4 l/s and is available in six designer grating options measuring 700-1200 mm depending on the requirements of the wetroom. A friction lock ensures safe grating retention yet can be removed easily without special tools to facilitate cleaning.

Both of the stainless steel options are suitable for bathrooms featuring ceramic or natural stone floor finishes, or flexible sheet flooring, providing leak-free performance and effective drainage in full compliance with BS EN 1253 requirements. A range of grating designs, including non-slip finishes, offers designers the versatility and choice to meet any brief simply and within budget.
