Acoustic barriers from Procter Contracts

Acoustic barriers from Procter Contracts

A noise barrier (also called a soundwall, sound berm, sound barrier, or acoustical barrier) is an exterior structure designed to protect inhabitants of sensitive land use areas from noise pollution.

The need to protect people from noise effects is beyond question and is now enshrined in codes of practice and design guidelines in industries such as road and rail. Noise barriers are the most effective method of mitigating roadway, railway, and industrial noise sources – other than cessation of the source activity or use of source controls.

Pro-acoustic noise barrier systems are manufactured from high strength reinforced polymers totally negating the use of timber together with its inherent issues within their construction.

Procter Contracts' systems consist of highly durable rigid panels that will not warp or shrink, are rot proof and resistant to aggressive environments and compounds such as salt spray and oils all without the need for additional surface treatments throughout their operational life.
