Type of works supply of eight different Polyflor products

Eight different products from leading commercial vinyl flooring manufacturer Polyflor have been installed at Hallmark Healthcare’s Alexandra Grange Care home in Wokingham.

The luxury 55-bed care home includes a cafe, cinema room and therapy room. A number of products across Polyflor’s safety and luxury vinyl tile portfolio were specified for these areas, as well as the en-suites, kitchen, hallways and dining room.

The flooring was specified by Jacqueline Farguson, design manager at Hallmark Healthcare: “We put a great deal of effort into creating a bright and welcoming feel at Alexandra Grange and the flooring was the perfect fit for this design brief.

“Of course this is still a busy care facility and the floors needed to deliver on performance too. The slip resistant safety flooring and wood and stone effect tiles provided the perfect combination of visual impact, safety and practicality.”

A highlight of the scheme is the bright café and attractive reception area, which features Classic Yorkstone Flooring from Polyflor’s Kudos LVT collection.

Safety products Polysafe Mosaic PUR, Polysafe Standard, Polysafe Hydro and Polysafe Ultima were specified in rooms throughout Alexandra Grange where there is an increased slip risk. These safety floorcoverings all comply fully with HSE and UK Slip Group Guidelines to give sustainable slip resistance throughout their guaranteed life. Heavy-duty Polysafe Ultima achieves 40+ on the Pendulum wet test (Slider 96/Four S rubber) with a surface roughness of 70 microns and above, while the other three safety floors achieve 36+ and have a surface roughness of 20 microns and above.

All Polyflor products specified achieve the highest possible BRE Global A+ certification after they were individually assessed based on a life cycle analysis approach over a building life of 60 years. They are also 100% recyclable.
