Alfresco Introduces ‘Specifiers’ Dream’ - New A1-Rated Mineral Composite Decking - To Its Product Range

Alfresco Introduces ‘Specifiers’ Dream’ - New A1-Rated Mineral Composite Decking - To Its Product Range

Leading external flooring system specialist, Alfresco Floors, is pleased to introduce ZERODECK, its new range of A1-rated deckboards, adding to their range of non-combustible sub-frame and surface options.

Timber decking alternatives have, until now, been somewhat limited, offering an aesthetic that doesn’t always fit the style of the project.

Available in two natural wood-grain options (California and Brazil), with ZERODECK your clients now have a quality flooring solution evoking the very best of natural timbers. With fully saturated colours that remain stable regardless of climate, ZERODECK even allows exposed end cuts if the design calls for them.

Importantly, ZERODECK has been tested to BS EN 13501-1:2020 and has been certified as EuroClass A1-rated. This means it meets the requirements for non-combustible materials as defined by the latest fire safety legislation.

With a variety of installation methods available, specifiers and architects can also choose from different solutions to suit their projects.

ZERODECK can be surface mounted to a joist if a more traditional timber finish is required, however the deckboards are pre-grooved for use with clips which will satisfy those looking for a clean finish and hidden fixings.

Available in 150 x 2440 x 25mm boards, ZERODECK is a revolutionary A1-rated timber alternative and a must-have for specifiers looking for maximum fire-safety whilst delivering a premium finish.

Class A Requirements

Current Building Regulations require that specified attachments on residential buildings over 18 metres must be constructed of Class A rated materials; however many architects, specifiers, and contractors are increasingly specifying non-combustible materials on projects regardless of building height as best practice.

The qualities of ZERODECK extend above and beyond their A1 rating and will be a finish of choice regardless of the fire-rating requirements of your external flooring project.
