The challenge:

Carmichael House is a high-end property that had to be built to the homeowners’ exacting specifications.

The contractors required an aesthetic rainwater system that could accommodate the high-water capacity demands of a large property. Due to its location in the coastal village of Elie, the system also needed to be durable to withstand the highly corrosive weather conditions of the area.

The solution:

Following a detailed review of the building plans, Marley Alutec’s Evolve Deepflow system in Heritage Black (Cast 98) was chosen to both match the desired look and meet the higher capacity required for the large property.

Evolve Deepflow can achieve flow rates of up to 4.9 litres per second (l/s) and serve up to 232m2 of roof area per downpipe.

Manufactured from marine grade aluminium and finished in an architectural grade polyester powder coat (PPC) paint, the Evolve range has a functional lifespan of over 50 years, requiring minimal maintenance which meant that it could endure the harsh weather conditions of the area.
