Stainless steel fixings specialist, Ancon Building Products, has updated its technical literature to highlight the products that now carry CE Marking under the Construction Products Regulation.
The new Ancon publications, which can now be downloaded from www.ancon.co.uk, or are available in hard copy on request, are Wall Ties and Restraint Fixings, Masonry Support Systems and Lintels, Windposts and Parapet Posts and Tension and Compression Systems.
As well as providing an introduction to the new regulation, the updated literature uses the CE logo throughout to help readers identify immediately those products designed, tested and manufactured to a harmonised European Standard or European Technical Approval. This provides reassurance that the products can be legally sold in the UK and throughout the wider EEA community.
To further assist engineers, contractors and distributors to comply with the new regulation, which became law on 1st July 2013, Ancon has also published a comprehensive 12-page guide entitled CE Marking to the CPR which is also available online or in hard copy. This booklet summarises the products affected and the obligations through the supply chain.
Ancons Marketing Manager, Annabelle Wilson, said, Ancons initial focus was on ensuring compliance with the new Construction Products Regulation. Having completed all necessary product testing and successfully passing external audits of our design and manufacturing processes, our focus has now switched to providing specifiers, distributors and end users with all the product and performance information they need to select our CPR-compliant products for their construction projects.
We have undertaken a complete review of our technical literature in line with Eurocode design methods, harmonised European product standards and the EU Construction Products Regulation.
