Bardon Foamix is foamed bitumen asphalt; this is a blend of carefully combined ingredients, most of which are recycled aggregates, bound together by a foam of bitumen and water. This binder is not an emulsion, but is a controlled physical and chemical process, to ensure the ultimate performance. Bardon Foamix is available in two grade; standard and heavy duty both formulated to comply with the requirements of cl948 Ex Situ Cold Recycled Bound Material of the Specification for Highway Works (SHW) classes B2 and B4 respectively. Can use up to 90% recycled product. Material is supplied and laid cold, so safe to the touch. Store it in any convenient location, for everyday use or out-of-hours emergencies. If covered and stored on good dry ground standard grade can be held on stock for up to 1 month. A single layer of Bardon Foamix can replace multiple layers e.g. base and binder course give savings in both labour and time. Produced according to the requirements of SHW:Cl948, can be used as a direct replacement for DBM/HDM50 base and binder course mixtures in all categories of roads. Can be used as a stabilised foundation material to give FC3 and 4 subbase layers. Structurally and in use equivalent to DBM50. Can be trafficked immediately. Can use up to 90% recycled product. A BBA / HAPAS approved ultra-thin asphalt surfacing material that can be laid 12mm thick incorporating polymer modified technology. The material is installed by pavers that include an integral spray bar for applying a polymer modified bond-coat immediately before the asphalt layer. BBA / HAPAS approved. Polymer-modified bond-coat forms a waterproof seal to the existing surface and creates a strong interlocking bond as bond coat migrates into the matrix of the material holding it in place

This asphalt product is a specifically engineered asphaltic concrete 14mm dense binder course mixture and has been designed to fill the gap within the range of binder course materials described in UK asphalt standards. The omission a dedicated AC14 binder course within UK standards often leads to inappropriate use of BSEN standard binder course mixtures eg AC20 Dense binder, particularly when laid in relatively thin layers. Bardon Superbase can be laid down to 40mm thick and still provide a very dense, impermeable and durable binder course layer whilst still maintaining high levels of resistance to permanent deformation making it applicable for high and low levels of traffic. It is suitable for use in either low or high density traffic situations has equivalent stiffness modulus to a conventional HDM 50 or HMB 35 for Superbase grades 50 or 35 respectively. Allows early and temporary trafficking where site restrictions prevent the application of a surface course prior to the removal of traffic management. Bardon Superflex Carriageway has been intentionally designed outside of the regime for BBA/HAPAS to allow a wider range of application and performance enhancement. This is particularly so where durability is placed as of higher importance to high textures. When combined with an appropriate aggregate, in service results from griptester surveys has shown that high levels of surface friction is realised and maintained. It is available in 6mm, 10mm and 14mm aggregate sizes to cover layer thicknesses of between 15mm - 80mm.
Bardon Superflex Industrial is designed to provide a durable asphalt surfacing for industrial type applications. This product has a lower texture depth than Carriageway to maximise resistance to scuffing from items such as stacking cradles, container forklifts etc.
Bardon Superflex72 has been developed to offer friction levels equivalent to that specified for High Friction Surfaces in highway use. The product achieves this through the use of a specific Aggregate Industries aggregate source throughout the mixture. Results from Griptesting shows that not only are equivalent SCRIM values in excess of 0.55 realised but that they are maintained over a long period of time.
It can be applied to heavily trafficked (10mm and 14mm) roads, residential roads (6mm and 10mm), roundabouts (10mm) as well as industrial and commercial areas, particularly where heavy loading is an issue (10mm) and combined surface and binder course layers (10mm and 14mm).
