Bespoke design acoustic panels for lecture theatre

A recently completed project for King's College London utilised bespoke acoustic panels from SoundSpace Solutions to meet the noise control and environmental needs of the client. Panels made from recycled PET were given an individual touch with a unique waterjet cut design to give the space an extra dimension that complimented the straight lines and curves at the same time.

As this was an education project, the panels used are completely safe, non-toxic, non-allergenic and non-irritant; in line with the SoundSpace ethos of using sustainable materials. The lightweight and semi-rigid panels that have sound absorbing properties are designed with solid colour throughout that can be used in a large array of spatial design and interior solutions. In this instance, the design catches the light and shadow to add shape to what would ordinarily have been a flat panel.

The installation team hand finished each panel and fitted them with incredible attention to detail to give a seamless product. The client is "over the moon” with the final install. More than just a using a traditional interior acoustic panel; SoundSpace have employed their experience as a specialist contractor for a creative solution where design and aesthetics are important.
