BREAAM Excellent Watermark Place chooses Bauporte

Fully automatic Circular Full Vision revolving doors from Bauporte were specified for the BREEAM ‘excellent’ Watermark Place in London.

Watermark Place is a mixed-use commercial development located on the north bank of the River Thames in London, UK. It has 11 storeys and 500,000ft² of office space.

For its use of extensive sustainable measures, Watermark Place has achieved an ‘excellent’ grading by the Building Research Establishment’s BREEAM accreditation system. Watermark Place also won the London Merit Award 2009 from The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) for designing with minimal environmental impact by using innovative energy and resource management processes.

Bauporte Doors UK Ltd designed, manufactured and installed 3 fully automatic Circular Full Vision CFV2800AY revolving doors and 2 matching-height automatic swing doors with in-ground drive units. Each 3-wing revolving doorset has a diameter of 2800mm and a turning height of over 3800mm.

Although the revolving doors were originally specified and supplied with orange fritted glass to the curved walls as part of the base-build contract, Bauporte is awarded to replace all the orange glass with low-iron clear glazing to suit the requirements of the new tenant.
