Brickfab are working to acquire BBA accreditation to meet the NHBC requirements

In regards to the NHBC’s requirement for a third-party accreditation of Brickfab’s SIP panel lightweight arches, their current update is as follows:

Brickfab are now pleased to be able to report that it has been agreed on what basis to test the lightweight arches by and this will shortly be undertaken to gain the necessary BBA accreditation required by the NHBC and LABC.

Because the SIP panel boarding and the adhesive used both already hold their own BBA, this will help the process, allowing Brickfab to meet the extension date set by the NHBC of the 30th June 2021.

One area where the NHBC have concerns is with Magnesium backed boards that are used for lightweight arches. They still wish to see this type of product withdrawn from being used in this capacity by the 31 December 2020.

The Boards which are used at Brickfab are of a cement-based product giving the strength and longevity and therefore they will still be able to provide the same product after this date.
