Central Fabrications are the chosen supplier for NCP multi-storey car park

Back in 2013, Central Fabrications were specified to help design NCP’s new build multi-storey car park in Manchester, bringing 633 new spaces. Central Fabrications provided:

• 3mm aluminium triangles
• CNC punched triangles
• Rivnut so they could easily be installed on site

The car park was built by Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure, the chosen contractor for this phase of the New Bailey development, and was completed two weeks ahead of schedule.

With the New Bailey car park already running close to capacity, the new Stanley Street site, which has been designed by AHR Architects, significantly increased the parking supply in the area, providing customers with more choice as to where and when they park.

Adam Robson, head of new builds at NCP, says: “The completion of the new NCP’s multi-story car park within the New Bailey development has been marked a success. We have seen ever-increasing demand within the region and are committed to meeting this through our wider portfolio-expansion strategy whereby we are looking to double the number of car parks within our estate.

We always look to create parking facilities which best meet the needs to the local community. We have therefore used our experience of operating within the development while working closely with The English Cities Fund and the local council to identify these needs and have utilised the latest parking technology to ensure that the Stanley Street car park provides a frictionless experience for all.

Barry Roberts, managing director at Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure in the North, said: “I’m delighted with the project which has completed early, within budget and to a high quality whilst providing opportunities for many local people.

Our team has thoroughly enjoyed helping to create one of the most exciting developments in Greater Manchester, and this new car park will play a crucial role in serving the ever-increasing footfall and popularity of the New Bailey development.

The visually arresting design combines flair with functionality, and it is a fitting addition to one of the most dynamic localities in the country.
