Venesta was specified to help York High School renovate their washrooms to improve student satisfaction.

York High School is a specialist sports college with a primary focus on the values of teamwork and sportsmanship to grow the confidence of their students.

The school works closely with students and parents to help the school achieve its full potential. This lead to the desire to renovate and improve the school’s washrooms.

The school required a smart and robust washroom that would be easy to clean and maintain.

The washroom area that needed renovation was a unisex block, meaning that privacy was a key priority for the school when selecting their cubicle range. Therefore, the school requested a cubicle which provided the smallest floor and ceiling clearance possible.

With this in mind York High School selected full height Centurion cubicles in New England Solid Grade Laminate with extruded aluminium pilasters in dark grey.

Centurion cubicles combine strength, rigidity and design in equal measure. A full height Centurion only requires a 10mm door clearance and minimal ceiling clearance making it the ideal solution for York High School.

The cubicles were specified in SGL, meaning the new washroom will stand the test of time. SGL is impact resistant and impervious to water.

For their panelling system, the school chose Venesta’s pre-plumbed system, V-epps. Choosing V-epps meant that the complete unit, including sanitaryware, was pre-assembled in Venesta’s factory for a quick and hassle free installation.

Specifying V-epps pre-plumbed units in a school washroom is also beneficial post-installation as, due to the high strength linear-bearing hinges, panels can be opened and positioned at various heights during maintenance.

As well as this, the availability of a discreet, tamper proof stainless steel panel lock provides extra security in busy school areas.
