CLD Fencing Systems joins National BIM Library

CLD Fencing Systems, the United Kingdom’s largest manufacturer and supplier of Rigid Mesh Fencing Systems and Security Gates has partnered with RIBA to bring its range of Fencing and Gate systems to the National BIM Library for the first time. With 23 different Fencing Systems and 10 Gate solutions, Architects and Clients are now able to bring models direct into their projects thanks to the NBS Plugin for Revit.

Stewart Plant, Director of Marketing for CLD Fencing Systems said “We started working with RIBA and NBS during 2017 with a view to launching the first full range of Fencing and Gate solutions that matched the requirements for BIM Level 2 projects in the UK.” He continued, “we managed to complete the project almost a month early and are now able to offer state of the art models that cover everything from our Rigid Fencing systems such as the much-specified Louvre Fencing ‘Screenogril’ through to our LPS1175 Security Rated range of Fencing and Gates.”

Access to the models are free to all End Clients, Architects, Landscape Architects and Security Consultants via either the NBS Plugin for Revit or direct at https://www.nationalbimlibrary.com/cldfencingsystems and allow correct specification thanks to regularly reviewed IFC data.

Holding the widest range of Rigid Mesh Fencing Systems offered a number of challenges for the National BIM Library to overcome to be able to present a true family of models that could represent the different systems and the technical requirements of each one. Working with CLD Fencing Systems allowed the completion of one of the first full range of products for Fencing Systems and Gate Solutions to be launched at the beginning of February 2018 on the National BIM Library.
