Contemporary Windows: VELFAC 200
The VELFAC 200 window system is characterized by elegant clean lines, designed to complement contemporary architectural styles.
Windows and patio doors have a uniform appearance, regardless of whether they open or not, which further enhances the uncluttered, modern aesthetic.
Contemporary windows and patio doors from the VELFAC 200 series have an exterior aluminum frame that makes the windows and doors virtually maintenance free as well as wind and weather resistant. On the inside the products have a softer and more tactile wooden frame that is well suited to the home environment.
The VELFAC 200 series has been created with quality and safety in mind. The risk of burglary associated with the products has been minimized as the glazing beads are mounted on the inside. This makes it harder for the burglar to enter, as the glass cannot be removed from the outside. Windows and patio doors can be equipped with a child safety lock and the handle can also be fitted with a lock.
The following options are available with the VELFAC 200 series
Sidehung Window - The sidehung opening is particularly suitable when refurbishing older or classically styled buildings. The sash is outward opening and has visible hinges. The standard sash can open up to 90° and can be held open in any random ventilation position by an adjustable friction brake.
Side-Guided Window - The sidehung projecting light is particularly suitable for multi-storey complexes where all cleaning must be performed internally. When fully opened, the sash opens up to 90° - this creates a gap at the hinge side which allows internal cleaning.
Fixed Window - The fixed light can be coupled with all other VELFAC 200 System window types and appears identical to all other types. Although the sash is fixed, it can easily be converted into an opening light by our Customer Service Department, subject to size and weight.
Top-Guided Window - The tophung projecting light can be coupled with all other VELFAC 200 System window types. The sash is outward opening, and provides a ventilation gap at the head. The balance arm has built-in friction brakes allowing random ventilation positions.
Glass to Glass Corner Window - The glass to glass corner can be used where an external view is required without disruption from corner posts or joints. The window allows maximum light to enter and can be used as an architectural feature. The VELFAC 220 is a fixed window unit, where the sides meet at an angle of 90°.
Tophung Fully Reversible Window - The reversible window is especially suitable for multi-storey buildings where window cleaning must be performed from the inside. The sash can be rotated by up to 170° to allow cleaning from the inside. A safety restrictor is triggered when the window is opened to 5 cm. When this is disengaged, the window can be reversed to the cleaning position where an automatic catch keeps the window in place.
