Following the announcement last year of a working partnership between leading door opening solutions provider, ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, and surveillance and security solutions experts, Corps Security, the companies are set to revolutionise the key control industry.

Hosting a breakfast meeting attended by leading figures within the security industry, the strategic partnership introduced the benefits of remote locking for high security facilities, which could change the way they monitor and access their high profile sites.

Presenting to an audience, which included companies responsible for some of the most notoriously security conscious events and premises across Europe, ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions was joined by illustrious speakers Inspector Graham Brown of the Metropolitan Police, and Detective Superintendent Brian Dillon of SC&O19 Specialist Firearms Command.

The Security Solutions group presented the ASSA CLIQ Remote access control system. Commercial Manager Eryl Jones – who spoke at the event –explains: “We have been working with Corps Security for over 6 months now, and the implementation of our ASSA CLIQ Remote system at its Arc headquarters has been a real success, so this was a fantastic opportunity to speak to their customers and explain how the system could change the way they manage access and key control.

“CLIQ really is a pioneering system and we’re very excited about the opportunities this can present. On a daily basis companies struggle with maintaining the security of their buildings, and are often forced to employ the services of key control companies to support this.

“The beauty of CLIQ Remote is that the physical key control can be managed globally from a central point (similar to an access control system), however as a "mechatronic" cylinder it provides this flexibility on a high security mechanical platform enabling all cylinder types, including padlocks, to be included. This effectively offers "double" protection for the door, and makes it one of the most secure cylinder systems in the world.

“Keys can be tracked and access permissions can be managed from a single location, giving the company the ability to monitor sites from anywhere in the world from one centralised point. This eradicates the need for multiple key holders and the logistical challenge of physical key distribution.

“Corps Security has recognised the benefits of the CLIQ system to its own business, as through the Corps Arc monitoring Centre in Glasgow it can now offer a key control "monitoring" service in parallel to their CCTV monitoring service.
