INTRAform DM entrance matting with 25mm wide dividing profiles brings a historic design detail to the entrance lobbies at 100 Liverpool Street.
In response to the history of the site, softly curving track lines are embedded within the concrete flooring to echo the building’s envelope and map the main routes through the ground floor. This feature continues into the entrance matting system using 25mm wide dividing profiles.
Through meticulous liaison with the architect, these extra-wide dividing profiles are placed outside of the primary direction of traffic within the matting. This is best practice for any entrance matting system but is particularly prudent with these oversized profiles.
Entrance Matting Specification
The main entrances use INTRAform DM recessed aluminium entrance matting which is clear anodised as standard to minimise light reflection. The planks are then inset with INTRAlux Elite polyamide fibre in Anthracite 607.
This durable fibre has a Class 33 wear rating – the highest wear rating under the EN 1307: 2014 standard. The 92,990 polyamide tufts in each square metre of INTRAlux Elite also provide exceptional absorbency of 5.4 litres /m2.
Sustainable Design
INTRAlux Elite is made from 100% Econyl fibre. These regenerated nylon fibres are made from old fishing nets, carpets and industrial plastic which is processed back into brand new nylon yarn.
It can be recycled and remoulded again and again making it a highly sustainable product – perfect for this BREEAM Excellent rated building with sustainability at its heart.
