Kingspan has become the first access flooring manufacturer in the world to issue an Environmental Product Declaration – enabling customers to see how its product ranges affect the environment throughout their lifecycle. Kingspan Access Floors Sales Director Mike Stone said: “There is an increasing requirement from architects, contractors, developers and end users for detailed information about the sustainable qualities and environmental impacts of our products. The EPD gives all the information required and shows that we are providing full transparency.”

The EPD covers a wide range of aspects, including extraction of raw materials, production, transport, packaging and installation. It also contains information about a product’s impact on global warming, the ozone layer, water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions.
