FibreGrid’s GRP Grating Provides A Solid Path For The Ring Of Bodgar

FibreGrid’s GRP Grating Provides A Solid Path For The Ring Of Bodgar

FibreGrid’s GRP grating was selected to be installed at the Ring of Brodgar on the isle of Orkney. The grating has provided a dry and solid path for visitors of the World Heritage site, without detracting from the beautiful surroundings.

The GRP grating’s open mesh design has allowed for the grass to grow through the grid, meaning that the natural beauty of the Ring of Brodgar hasn’t been lost.

It is hoped that FibreGrid’s GRP grating can be used to form a safe and dry path around as much of the ring as possible. Though the total circumference is over 300m so this is certainly a big task.

This FibreGrid project is a definitely a unique installation and it is clear that after feedback from the client that FibreGrid has been able to meet the client’s requirements.
