Secured by Design Flatglass rooflights offer the aesthetically pleasing natural daylight of standard Flatglass, but with the added security of an upgraded specification. Roofglaze have a range of stock Secured by Design Flatglass rooflights that can be ordered and dispatched immediately through our online shop.

Fixed Flatglass Protect+ is their first rooflight range to be awarded the Certisecure accreditation and qualify for the Secured by Design mark. This has been achieved by engineering a specialist Secured by Design rooflight solution, using a stronger laminated inner glass pane, and upgraded fixings to maximise security. It has undergone extensive attack testing by Exova, a leading independent test house.

Standard Glass Specification
For stock sizes of Fixed Flatglass Protect+ rooflights, our standard glass specification is as follows:

• Outer: 8mm Heat Soak Tested Toughened Outer + Sandblast Border to Face 1 + Low-E
• Cavity: 16mm Argon Filled
• Inner: 8.8mm Clear Laminated + Polished Edges
• The stronger laminated inner glass pane coupled with the upgraded security tape and rooflight fixings, provides burglar resistance class BR1 to the STS 202 standard.

Stronger and Safer Glass Specification
For stock sizes of Fixed Flatglass Protect+ rooflights, our standard glass specification is as follows:

• 8mm Heat Soak Tested Toughened Outer + Sandblast Border to Face 1 + Low-E / 16mm Argon Filled Cavity / 8.8mm Clear Laminated + Polished Edges
• Please note that our Flatglass rooflights can be installed flat, but to avoid having water pooling on the rooflight, we recommend a minimum pitch of 5° if possible
