Glasdon have recently launched a new addition to their Glasdon Jubilee littler bin range. The new litter solution is designed to meet some of the on-street waste management challenges faced by local authorities.

The new Glasdon Jubilee™ 240 is a large capacity, polymer, wheelie bin housing designed for areas of high footfall. Ideal for hotspots in urban, suburban, highway and tourist locations.

It provides a secure cover for a standard 240 litre wheelie bin or a 300 litre sack with the optional sack retention system.

The traditional design and larger capacity with wide apertures will provide a versatile solution to help solve the problem of overflowing litter whilst reducing the frequency of collections.

Customer support manager for Glasdon UK, Steve Fletcher, said: “With the release of the Litter Strategy for England 2017 we wanted to design a solution that would go some way to helping local authorities meet the challenges of littering and managing collections today.”

As a wheelie bin housing, mechanical emptying will reduce manual handling issues. The large recessed lifting handle will also eliminate the need to reach inside the housing aperture.

Steve added: “The Litter Strategy also draws on some best practice examples of efficient waste management where smart technologies such as the Enevo sensor have been added to the bins.

“Due to the capacity and mode of collection of the new Glasdon Jubilee 240, Enevo will be available as an option on this model.”

The Glasdon Jubilee 240 joins the Glasdon Jubilee™ 110 and Streamline Jubilee™ litter and recycling bin range.
