Lumaglass provided their low Iron glass with 6000K cool white LED integrated into a insulated double glazed screens, to create a barcode effect for a new Sheffield Hallam University building.

The illuminated, non-illuminated Lumaglass™ incorporating opaque, translucent sandblasted, clear vision panels and glazed windows further ensured the effect was visually stunning. Control came via the BMS ensuring perfect and efficient operation.

Lumaglass were approached by the bid team Balfour Beatty looking for a “value add” to propose to the client at tender stage to further ensure that their proposal and bid would secure the works with this prestigious client. The Lumaglass added a significant design edge over the other design proposals and was readily incorporated by the University ensuring Balfour Beatty were successful.
