Grade II listed barn illuminated by Glazing Vision’s electrically hinged rooflights

Glazing Vision’s frameless VisionVent unlocks the natural light in this 1800’s Grade II listed barn in Norfolk.

The architects involved in the design of the barn’s extension had a positive experience with Glazing Vision during previous projects and specified the VisionVent rooflight for this client’s needs.

The hinged rooflight measured 1200mm x 2400mm and provided both a plethora of natural light and ventilation.
The motorised hinge in the ventilation unit lets the clients open and close the rooflight at the push of a button, whilst the rain sensor protects the barn from bad weather by automatically closing if it begins to rain. Additionally, the rooflight prevents the risk of condensation forming by combining 8.8mm low emissivity glass, 6mm heat soaked tested toughed glass, argon-filled cavities and 18mm warm edge spacer bars.

“I’m extremely pleased with the finished result. The rooflight seems to fit perfectly, the electrics work which means we can open and close it easily” Hilary Knights, Homeowner.
