Gravesend Transport Quarter – Phase 1

20 Jun 2013

Client: Gravesham Council
Contractor: Ringway Infrastructure
Architect: Burns & Nice

The Gravesend Transport Quarter works is a 4 Phased scheme. The aim of the development is to establish a major gateway for Gravesend with a transport interchange that integrates the railway station within the town centre and with bus and other services. Furnitubes supplied street furniture items as part of the initial phase and there maybe further product requirements on future phases. Future phases include a new car park at the North Side of the Station, and a new modern bus interchange at Garrick Street.

As part of the Gravesend Transport Quarter the London Borough of Gravesham required contemporary, low-maintenance public realm furniture.

The Zenith range was chosen for its stunning stainless steel finish and range of co-ordinating items. Zenith DDA bollards were supplied in both fixed and removable versions, in Grade 316 stainless steel with black tape.

Zenith seats with arm rests were supplied in both base plated and in-ground versions.

Fin, FIN480, cycle stands and a post mounted double sided display case were also supplied to the site.
