GripDeck® Isle of Man project featured by Timber Decking and Cladding Association

A GripDeck® project that supplied softwood anti slip decking for a walking trail bridge on the Isle of Man has been chosen to feature in a charity calendar by the Timber Decking and Cladding Association.

The charity calendar is the result of a competition by the Timber Decking and Cladding Association to showcase the beautiful, versatile and sustainable material that timber is.

The Isle of Man project from GripDeck® has been chosen to be featured and you can find it representing the month of April 2020.

The competition judge Peter Wilson said, ‘Remote, difficult-to-access landscapes has long made timber the construction material of choice for pedestrian bridges and pathways. In this instance, the use of balustrading and anti-slip decking made from European Redwood is a durable, low-maintenance solution to the construction of an extensive walkway that has been tailored on-site to the challenging topography’.

The calendar is available now, with the proceeds being donated to Cancer Research UK. You can purchase your calendar from the Timber Decking and Cladding Association here.
