Heritage rooflights for Grade II Listed property

Heritage rooflights for Grade II Listed property

Lumen has supplied two large bespoke Heritage rooflights for the extension project of this Grade II Listed William & Mary style property, dating from 1693, in a quaint village near Cheltenham.

Due to the age of the property and its Grade 2 listed status, careful consideration was required to achieve the relevant planning consent. One of the key considerations in satisfying the Conservation Officer and achieving planning approval, was the specification of Conservation style rooflights. These would be a major feature of the new extension, and would need to be of a style sympathetic to the original period property, and flush sitting with the new slate roof.

Lumen Heritage rooflights - one with an electric opening mechanism and one fixed shut – were the ideal solution. The products complimented the very high standard of finish of the rest of the build.

The rooflights are now a real focal point in the new extension, flooding the room with light and creating a sense of space and openness.
