Hot melt waterproofing for Parkside fire station

Hot melt waterproofing for Parkside fire station

Alumasc’s Hydrotech hot melt waterproofing has been installed in the Parkside fire station in Cambridge as part of its rebuild.

3,500 metres of Hydrotech was used during this project because a number of zero falls areas were present in the design of the fire station.

Unlike the majority of other flat roof systems, Hydrotech can be installed at zero falls without the need for screed and therefore it was used to waterproof the main roof area, central courtyard and planters at the development. In addition, Hydrotech provided the ideal base for the green roof scheme which was also supplied by Alumasc.

The hydrotech system provided by Alumasc has delivered a waterproofing system which will last for the lifetime of the building
