Canal Engineering has designed and installed an impressive steel and glass feature staircase for a commercial setting.

This bespoke design was made of four joint-free, smooth helical staircases, which were connected by an intermediate landing fabricated from reinforced concrete.

The staircases were fabricated and prebuilt in our Nottingham workshop, dismantled before being delivered and installed on site.

The staircases featured 12mm stainless steel helical stringers finished in a satin polish with 41.5mm low-iron glass treads. The glass balustrade, at 21.5mm tick, was finished with a 42mm slotted stainless handrail, improving safety without compromising on style.

The final result was an amazing space dominated by a contemporary feature staircase comprising of functionality with sleek design.
