Conversely, system components that are correctly installed by certified installers achieve the highest reliability and performance.

Professional gluing is essential for high reliability

Armaflex insulation materials not only have good technical properties, they are also particu¬larly user friendly because of they are flexible materials. However, it is crucial that elastomeric materials are glued and sealed properly using the adhesive supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.

Armacell provides a complete range of Armaflex adhesives and the choice depends on the Armaflex materials used and the specific requirements of the project in question. Alongside the tried-and-tested standard adhesives, Armacell offers a range of new products that set new standards in the installation of elastomeric insulation materials.

The thixotropic, non-drip Armaflex RS850 high-performance adhesive can be applied more quickly and neater than standard adhe¬sives and releases only minimal amounts of solvents when idle. It also has a long shelf-life of 3 years.

Another new addition to the range of accessories is a solvent-free cleaner: Armaflex SF cleaner that can be used to clean soiled surfaces of technical installations as well as the surface of insulation materials, ensuring perfect adhesion. The cleaner is supplied in a practical spray bottle so that it can be applied precisely.

Armaflex Ultima and Armaflex Rail SD, synthetic rubber insulation materials based on the innovative Armaprene technology, require the use of adhesives that have been specially formulated for this type of foam. For these materials too, Armacell offers, in addition to the standard Armaflex Ultima 700 adhesive, a gel-like, non-drip product (Armaflex Ultima RS850 adhesive).
