Interactive graphics & designs for dementia ward

New Vision has provided a range of products including wall murals, Kodak digital displays, reminisce rooms, 1950s style TV, digital fish tank and window graphics for the dementia ward at King’s Mill Hospital in Nottinghamshire.

When the hospital enhanced its dementia ward, Woodland, they wanted to create an environment that was both safe and familiar. The brief was to create areas which could aid reminiscence and help to calm and/or stimulate patients when necessary.

As well as supplying all of the graphic designs and displays, New Vision incorporated a first for them, a nostalgia display. This ran along the length of a corridor and featured a range of iconic images from the 50s and 60s onwards including the Queen’s coronation, sport, music and movie images and old photos from the local area.

Adam Hayward, Woodland Ward Matron, said: "The work done by New Vision is superb. There’s no doubt that we have the best possible care environment for our patients, their families and our staff. That is partly down to the professionalism, talent and co-operation of the New Vision team.”
