A pitch-black night sky with glis­ten­ing stars is much more than just the per­fect back­ground for design­ing urban space using light. A dark sky is impor­tant for nat­ural rhythms too and as a result for the well-being of human beings, ani­mals and plants.

Rather than more light, it is often just greater light pre­ci­sion that is required in public spaces around build­ings, in parks or at other locations. With their spe­cial light­ing tech­nol­ogy and controlled illu­mi­na­tion of areas, Inula bol­lards and light columns have earned the ‘Dark Sky’ epi­thet of their own – as offi­cially recog­nised by the Inter-national Dark Sky Asso­ci­a­tion.

With an extremely reduced design, the cylin­dri­cal lumi­naires offer guided, attrac­tive and effi­cient light that is free of light scat­ter. The Inula bol­lard and light columns form a single con­sis­tent, mod­u­lar system.
