For ninety years, hmv has been getting people even closer to the artists, music, film and games they love - whether at home, at work, on the move or at live events.
John Anthony Signs’ first job for hmv was in 2001. In just six weeks they researched, designed, manufactured and installed thirty different types of internal signs at more than 200 different sites throughout the UK. Since then, their relationship has grown to the point where they’re now sole supplier for all internal and external signage.
Over the last ten years John Anthony Signs has been entrusted with many national rollout programmes from external illuminated fascias and window poster displays to light boxes for chart walls, directional zone signage, pay desk and acrylic holders.
To ensure technical and visual consistency and enable the hmv project team to easily select what they need for each store, John Anthony Signs created a signage brand manual and act as its guardians. To ensure a ready supply of replacement signs, they introduced a stock level tracking system.
