More picks with less walking

The heart of the system consists of the LR 35, the fastest vertical storage system in the Kardex Remstar portfolio. A combination of two LR 35 modules makes it possible to present up to 300 storage bins per hour to the operator with nearly no walking. An additional advantage is that up to 80 percent of floor space can be saved.

What makes FramePick 4 Wholesale unique is the possible use of existing order picking trolleys for picking the articles. These order picking trolleys are simply placed behind a Put Frame with put-to-light displays. The operator can connect the customer order bins on the trolley to the displays with a simple scan. When one of the LR 35 modules presents a new storage bin, the displays show how many items should be placed in which customer bins. When all orders are complete, the trolley with the full customer bins can be easily transported to the packaging area. And the new trolley with empty customer bins takes over the position in the Put Frame.

Modular and scalable system

FramePick 4 Wholesale is a modular, flexible and scalable system. Depending on the product range, the turnover rate and the order pattern, configurations are possible with two, four or six LR 35 modules. Companies can start with two LR 35 modules and easily add modules as needed. The number of trolley positions can also be easily expanded by adding additional Put Frames. In a six LR 35 module configuration, three order pickers can be easily deployed at peak times. The use of multi-colour displays allows each operator to see at a glance in which customer area his items should be placed.

Kardex Remstar delivers the complete solution including LR 35 modules, Put Frames and software that is fully geared to fast order fulfilment for wholesale and e-commerce. Based on best practices, various standard software modules have been bundled into a quick and easy to implement system that can easily be integrated with the existing ERP or warehouse management system (WMS).
