Kemmlit washrooms take centre stage at Prince Edward Theatre

The washrooms at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End of London have been updated with Noxx smart glass cubicles from Kemmlit.

The theatre is on Old Compton Street, north of Leicester Square, and was designed by Edward A. Stone, also an architect for the Piccadilly theatre, in 1928.

With interior decoration by Marc-Henri Levy and Gaston Laverdet, the building was a success. A spacious art deco foyer greeted audiences, with staircases leading off to the stall and dress circle.

After refurbishment work to the bar areas, front of house facilities and dressing rooms in 2004, the washrooms were renovated more recently with work from Kemmlit.

Door and panel elements consist of 10 mm thick toughened safety glass. Due to the completely smooth surface NOXX smart appears both classic and high-grade.

All details of the construction are designed for high-class appearance, stability and years of maintenance-free functioning.

A sturdy 3-roller edge hinge with stainless steel axis has been specially developed for NOXX smart. A soft, quiet and safe closing of the door is assured by the new soft close function. The supporting legs are made of high-quality aluminium with flat aluminium cover sleeve. The supporting legs are adjustable in height and position. The user-friendly single hand turning knob also consists of high-quality aluminium.
