Novum Structures has provided 3 major skylights for the luxury Akasya Mall in Istanbul, Turkey. Two of the skylights are mirror image freeform systems whereas the third is of a conventional symmetric lens shape.

Insulated glass is used throughout and held with flush glazed edge clamps. The freeform skylights span a longitudinal expansion joint and so discreet tension cables tie the necessary continuous ring beam to accommodate seismic movements.
