New state of the art offices and manufacturing facilities recently opened by HL Plastics part of the Flamstead Holdings Group, have been recognised with a prestigious national building award.
They were successfully nominated in the Best Commercial Development' category.
The Denby Hall site, which is a brownfield development, houses plastic extrusion specialists HL Plastics, and precision engineering company Tarpey Harris.
The project was nominated for an award by Amber Valley Borough Council who were delighted with the level of cooperation they received from the project architects
They also commented that the developer recognised the value of the inspection regime, and involved the Councils Building Control team at all key stages of the project, and where any variations were proposed.
Dave Chard of Amber Valley Borough Council said: There were several reasons that the Denby Hall site was nominated for an award including the quality of construction, the use of a brownfield site, and the number of jobs the development has created in the area.
Roger Hartshorn, Managing Director of the Flamstead Holdings Group, said: The new building award is another example of our success since we consolidated all our companies at Denby Hall.
We invested heavily in all aspects of the build, including the installation of the latest underground water tanks and services so were delighted that our efforts, and those of our contractors Linden Design and Build, have been recognised with this prestigious award.
