Highly decorative Polysafe Mosaic sheet vinyl safety flooring has been installed at the headquarters of financial information services company Markit Limited, London.

Chosen for its aesthetic qualities and sustainable slip resistance, the Orient Grey colourway has been selected for the staff break out areas by Designer firm Taymani Partnership. Polysafe Mosaic is ideal for such commercial premises, as well as retail, schools, hospitals and social housing - offering outstanding decorative appeal fully matched by safety performance.

“The design of Polyflor's safety ranges is excellent,” says specifier Rami Taymani. “Polysafe Mosaic combined the slip resistance and durability we needed with the perfect style for this area.”

Combining clear aluminium oxide and coloured quartz particles within the full thickness of its 0.7mm wear layer to provide enhanced, sustainable slip resistance, the Polysafe Mosaic range offers a choice of nine vibrant colourways featuring a special high density flake design. The additional use of pearlescent chips adds an attractive shimmer effect and added visible depth to the decoration.

In common with all Polysafe ranges, the flooring complies fully with HSE and UK Slip Group Guidelines to give sustained slip resistance throughout its guaranteed life, achieving 36+ on the RRL Pendulum wet test (Slider 96/Four S rubber) with a surface roughness of 20 microns and above.

As well as compliance with HSE Guidelines, Polysafe Mosaic also meets the performance requirements of EN13845, the European Norm for safety flooring, and in terms of abrasion resistance is classed as a Group T product – achieving the Use Area Classification of 23/34/43.

Fully tested to fire safety standard EN13501-1, Polysafe Mosaic is certified as Class Bfl-S1, achieving the criteria EN ISO 9239-1 ≥8kw/m² and the mandatory requirement of EN ISO 11925-2 pass.

Vinyl safety flooring has been awarded a generic BRE Global environmental A+/A Rating for contract applications. Polysafe Mosaic is 100% recyclable.
