Maxiboard Acoustic Boards
Maxiboard is a high performance and versatile acoustic building board for domestic and commercial applications. It can be used as an effective alternative to plasterboard to increase the acoustic performance of existing and newly constructed walls, floors, and ceilings.
Maxiboard is a patented composite soundproof board manufactured from cement and gypsum with a polymeric core. The composite building board produced offers excellent sound insulation performance and is a very strong, high impact resistant board, suitable for taking screws and fixings direct.
Designed to be easily and quickly installed within many different types of buildings, Maxiboard is ideal for soundproofing through new and existing walls, whether to reduce noise from the neighbours above for domestic comfort, or architecturally to meet the acoustic requirements of Building Regulations Part E.
In domestic applications Maxiboard provides a solution for timber stud partitions as part of the Maxi Timber Stud system and for exposed or plastered masonry walls as part of Maxi Masonry Wall. This is ideal for reducing the sound transfer through separating walls in terrace and semidetached housing as well as flats and apartments.
The product can also be used to soundproof walls in commercial and industrial environments. This includes being a key element within the Maxi HP Partition system for metal stud partitions which makes Maxiboard ideal for soundproofing specialist applications such as recording studios, interview suites and consultancy rooms.
For these high-end, demanding and often bespoke projects, the Maxi HP system offers Incredibly high acoustic separation along with a 1hr fire separation and all in a 109mm footprint (unplastered).
