Megapress is a press-connection system for thick-walled steel tube from 1/2” up to 4” diameter.

In many cases, steel pipe connections are still welded in heating and cooling systems and industrial applications. This is not only time-consuming and laborious, but there is also the risk to health and fire. With “Megapress”, thick-walled steel pipes in nominal widths of 1/2” to 4” can now be pressed within seconds. The assembly time is reduced by up to 60 per cent (up to 2”) and up to 80% quicker for larger diameters (up to 4”).

With the Megapress system, a special profile-sealing element is now integrated into the steel connectors made from material 1.0308 (St 37) with a zinc-nickel coating. In combination with a cutting ring, this ensures a durable, impermeable and friction-locked connection on the rough surface of black, galvanised, painted or epoxy resin-coated steel pipes.

Megapress is available in three variants: Megapress for regular heating and cooling, fire and compressed air applications (EPDM seal), Megapress S for higher temperature applications (FKM seal) and Megapress G designed for use with fuels such as gas, heating oil and diesel fuels (HNBR seal)
