With the original windows on the front of the Rathbone building in poor condition and with the remainder removed when the building was partly demolished, Mumford & Wood were specified for the development project.
New fixed casement windows from the conservation range were installed throughout the building. All are finished in White with some featuring astragal glazing bars and all matching the originals perfectly as well as being to the specifications set out by the local conservation authority. These all feature modern double-glazing which improves the heat retention of the building as well as reducing the levels of noise from the busy London streets.
With the development work now complete, large open-planned office units on the upper 5 levels of the building are available for rental. This will likely prove to be a popular choice amongst prospective businesses, surrounded by premium shopping districts and Facebook’s London headquarters located directly opposite the building.
