New FSB ASL® bearing sets new standards

New FSB ASL® bearing sets new standards

Allgood has introduced the latest addition to the FSB range to the UK market, the FSB ASL bearing. This new bearing offers numerous technical advantages over its predecessor but most importantly opens up a myriad of design possibilities.

Architects and interior designers will appreciate a cleaner transition from the lever neck to the rose, with the removal of the black guide ring used on the outgoing bearing. Supplied as a set suitable for either right-hand or left-hand use, the new FSB ASL bearing is ideal for both door levers and doorknob applications.

Available as a round or square rose with aluminium, stainless steel, brass and bronze finishes, the bearing provides architects with design flexibility. This adaptor system also caters for a wide range of door thicknesses from 39mm to 58mm.

Designed to complement some of FSB’s heavier lever handles, the bearing is sprung, reducing wear on the lock and ensuring the handle doesn’t sag over time. This ensures longevity for busy commercial and residential environments, and has resulted in BS EN1906 Class 4 classification.

Richard van den Bos, Product Manager at Allgood said, "The new FSB ASL bearing is a true demonstration of precision engineering and discrete design. With additional strength, the bearing will also act as a catalyst for new ironmongery designs that previously were not possible.”
