New Schueco Outward-Opening Window Has All The Answers

Schueco’s constant drive for enhanced system performance can be seen in the latest addition to its range of windows, the Schueco AWS Outward-Opening Window. As well as offering significantly improved insulation values, this new product is available in 150 variations meaning that whatever the brief and whatever the type of building, it will always be able to meet the required specification.

Four frame depths are available, 50, 60, 65 and 70mm, with varying degrees of thermal insulation depending upon the performance required. Even the lowest-rated window can meet Building Regulations requirements but thanks to a combination of unique frame insulation bars, special EPDM sealing gaskets, patented foam-insulation material and high-performance glazing, the most energy-efficient of all, AWS 70.HI, sets a new performance standard.

Hardware options include handles, folding openers, safety stays and security fittings that meet BS 7950:1997, the standard specified in Secured by Design. Outer frame/vent sight lines from 99mm are complemented by a range of glazing beads that give visual variations with a choice of glazing unit thicknesses. Design flexibility is further enhanced by a wide range of painted and anodised surface finishes and the option of specifying different colours for inside and outside faces.

The Schueco AWS Outward-Opening Window is compatible with AWS inward-opening windows and ADS doors and has a special outer frame to allow it to be inserted into Schueco FW50+ and FW60+ facades. Numerous profiles exist for the construction of bay windows, structural elements, expansion joints and the fitting of trickle ventilators.
