New revolving door system with intruder/object detection enhances airport safety

The newly-developed K21 PS two-leaf revolving door system makes the transition to the none-security zone quicker and safer. The system is also equipped with state-of-the-art sensor technology that reliably prevents unauthorised access and also effectively prevents dangerous items such as weapons, explosives and chemicals from entering the high-security zone. In addition, all items that are stuck on any surface or thrown in to the system are detected by multiple overlapping sensors that scan the entire door and detect objects that are larger than 2x1 cm and weight more than 100 grams. As soon as a person or object is detected, the door stops then travels back into a safe position and sends an alarm. An international application has been filed for a patent. The innovative K 21 PS revolving door system was used for the first time in Dallas/ Fort Worth – thus setting new security standards.
