Newport Girls High School is given a new modern look

Vincent Timber supplied high quality timber for Newport Girls High School's new development.

Siberian larch was chosen for the project as it is both environmentally friendly and visually stunning. It offers an excellent cost effective, yet hard wearing, alternative to traditional timber cladding products.

Siberian Larch grows extremely slowly, forming dense and durable properties. It's one of the many natural timbers increasingly being specified by environmentally conscious architects.

Michael Scott from Newport Girls High School said the timber supplied by Vincent Timber is of high quality and turns a beautiful colour when wet, giving the school a warm glow and adds a modern feel to the school.

He went on to say that the new build has given the school six additional classroom spaces, a large work area that the school has named the Atrium, and a café that provides the sixth formers with hot drinks and snacks.
