Orona lifts: optimum shaft usage in existing buildings

ORONA’s research and development investment continues to provide a wide range of lift solutions with the latest technology in the market, designed to offer solutions to accommodate the vertical transportation requirements of different types of buildings across all sectors.

In the field of existing buildings and shafts, we have developed our Orona 3G X-14 and Orona 3G X-11 MRL solutions, two innovative lifts capable of maximizing the use of the existing shaft constraints.

 Orona 3G X-14: up to 50% more capacity inside the car.

This is a revolutionary compact solution, with no machine room, aimed mainly at existing buildings and shafts. The Orona 3G X-14 is the market leader in terms of maximizing shaft use, its unique design provides up to 50% more capacity in the car.

This solution is ideal when there is no option other than to utilise the existing shaft providing maximum accessibility and incorporating the most eco-efficient technology.

The Orona 3G X-14 has been certified as an eco-designed product, which requires that the use of materials and energy throughout its life cycle has been taken into account. This lift product incorporates the latest direct drive technology and can optionally be powered by single phase 230 V power.

As it is a machine room less solution, space can be freed up when replacing an old lift, as the existing machine room will no longer be required.

 Orona 3G X-11: solution for reduced pit and headrooms.

The Orona 3G X-11 lift has been specifically designed to accommodate exiting shafts with reduced pit and headrooms, while maintaining optimum shaft usage.

This solution achieves reduced headrooms which can be as low as 2600 mm and reduced pits that can be as low as 310mm, strictly subject to the required safety cube being achievable in advance of new EN81:21 legislation being published. This will allow lifts to be installed where it was previously impossible due to the current regulations.

As it is a machine room-less solution, space can be freed up when replacing an old lift, as the existing machine room will no longer be required.
