Pump technology: High-efficiency on the move

Pump technology: High-efficiency on the move

Leading pump specialist WILO has made the entire world of high efficiency pump technology accessible on the mobile Apple devices of specialist technicians and specialist consultants for technical building equipment.

The free "Wilo Assistant“ app for iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad provides access to information and functions that were previously only available in written form or on the internet, in a single mobile application with a host of practical benefits. HVAC-craftsmen are offered support with the pre- and post-planning of service and installation appointments and all work carried out in the customer's boiler room, as well as with the provision of consultation services. The compact application offers a wealth of valid selling points for energy efficient pump technology for heating, air-conditioning and secondary hot water circulation. It also provides the user with targeted access to comprehensive product information and know-how relating to pump technology. The majority of this information is also available offline as experience shows that reception in boiler rooms is invariably poor.

The range of functions covers all requirements for the construction site and for customer consultation:
● Interactive replacement guide for heating and secondary hot water pumps
● Energy savings calculator to calculate the potential savings in terms of electricity costs and CO2 emissions when using an energy-saving Wilo high-efficiency pump
● Short catalogue for Wilo glandless pumps
● Pump dimensioning according to the desired pump duty point specified
● Tips and tricks for the optimisation of heating systems and secondary hot water circulation systems
● Basic principles of pump technology
● Torch
● Unit converter
● Up-to-date information for specialist technicians and specialist consultants for technical building equipment
● Contact with Wilo contact partners

The "Wilo Assistant“ app can be downloaded for free via the "App Store“ function on the mobile device or onto a computer via the Apple iTunes Store on the internet and then installed on the mobile device.

Other versions for different smartphone operating systems are currently being developed.
