Recognising the importance of health and safety

Healthy and safety has always been a subject of vital importance to everyone at David Salisbury, not least due to being a proud part of the British manufacturing sector.

But it is not only manufacturing that requires a strong focus on health and safety – the company’s work to supply and install their award-winning orangeries, conservatories and oak framed extensions sees them involved with building sites and projects of varying sizes and degrees of complexity all around the country.

As such, David Salisbury are very proud to announce they have been awarded a Worksafe Contractor Membership Certificate by Safety Management Advisory Services Limited (SMAS), recognising the work throughout theor business to manage health and safety effectively.

This accreditation highlights David Salisbury’s H&S management system meets the Safety Schemes in Procurement Forum (SSIP) Core Criteria - which ensures they are operating in line with current H&S legislation.

Of course, there are many reasons to choose David Salisbury to build your new orangery or timber garden room, whether it be for their market leading quality or highly successful record of more than 30 years of continuously producing these forms of building extension.

But, in addition to these and a range of other benefits, you can be assured you will be choosing a ‘responsible contractor’ that has a demonstrable record for healthy and safety management and that this attitude runs throughout the business from the very top down.

To paraphrase Richard Branson, “if you look after your staff, they will look after your customers.” This is certainly a philosophy that feels appropriate here and this latest award for David Salisbury is another endorsement of their continued focus to remain at the forefront of every aspect of the market they operate in – whether it be investing in new manufacturing machinery, developing their expert team or carefully managing healthy and safety on a daily basis.
