RENOLIT waterproofing solutions for 'a jewel' of an office

RENOLIT have provided their RENOLIT ALKORPLAN F and RENOLIT ALKORSOLAR as a waterproofing solution for developed office spaces in Ghent, Belgium.

Insulating panels with tongue and groove joints were installed on the upper part of the steel structure. This guarantees a strong, smooth and all round construction.

High wind load and shear forces were decisive in choosing the waterproofing membrane to be used. The architects of the Asymptote agency opted for the flexibility, lightness and durability of RENOLIT ALKORPLAN F.

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN F is a flexible thermoplastic PVC membrane with woven polyester reinforcing.

Compliant with UEAtc guidelines (the European network that issues technical approvals for innovative products or construction systems), it provides a waterproofing solution by means of mechanical fastening on steel deck, wood, concrete and other materials.

Its lifespan exceeds 40 years, as confirmed by its BBA product report.

Another advantage of RENOLIT ALKORPLAN F is its possibility of being combined with the RENOLIT ALKORSOLAR mounting system.

Originally designed for installing solar panels, RENOLIT ALKORSOLAR is also ideal for fixing various facade materials, in this case RENSON Linius blades.

The aluminium supports for the blades had to be fixed soundly to the roof structure, with no risk of perforating the underlying waterproofing membrane.

As required by the different roof slopes, the width of the RENOLIT ALKORPLAN F membrane was then adapted to fit the distance between the RENOLIT ALKORSOLAR profiles.
